Popular media personality Nedu Wazobia has served social media critic VeryDarkMan with a pre-action notice in response to allegedly defamatory remarks made about him on VeryDarkMan's platforms.
VeryDarkMan revealed the notice in a post shared on his Instagram page. According to legal representatives for Nedu and Tokindrumz Picture and Media Ltd, the 12-minute video posted by VeryDarkMan on his YouTube and Instagram accounts on February 19, 2025, contained a series of defamatory, false, and disparaging statements aimed at their clients.
The video, titled "How Nedu Diverted NGO Scholarship Meant for Nigerians," was described by the lawyers as completely false. They further clarified that Nedu is not the owner of Tokindrumz but rather a talent under the brand.
In the notice, Nedu's legal team demanded that VeryDarkMan remove all videos involving Nedu from his platforms within 24 hours, issue a public apology, and pay N500 million in damages for the harm caused to Nedu's reputation. They also warned that failure to comply would result in legal action.
VeryDarkMan responded by acknowledging the notice in a video posted on his Instagram, informing his followers that they should expect a court case. "Nedu’s lawyers have served me o, so make una get ready for court case," he said.
